The General Assembly may create a board or commission through statute, or the
Governor may create a commission or task force through an executive order. The Governor's
Office makes two types of appointments: one that requires the advice and consent of the
Senate, and one that does not. This decision is made by the General Assembly at the time
the board is created.
The Missouri Division of Fire Safety is governed by
