| April 2006 Re: Radio Frequency
Sharing Agreement
The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) has issued the
Division of Fire Safety three new narrow band radio frequencies for use by public safety
first responders. FCC requires the Division to enter into a frequency sharing
agreement with entities requesting use of the frequencies by their agency. These
frequencies were requested by the Division to enhance emergency communications during
large scale emergency or disaster incidents within the state.
The Division previously has been issued FCC licenses for three
wide band radio frequencies. You may have submitted and received a frequency sharing
agreement to use these; however, to assist with consolidation of our records please
complete a new frequency sharing agreement if you are requesting use of the
new narrow band frequencies in addition to the existing
Specific frequency designations are outlined in the frequency
sharing agreement, however, it should be noted that frequency 154.3025 has been
predetermined to be utilized as Command
5-Staging.
To request authorization from the Division of Fire Safety to
utilize any of the six frequencies please complete and submit the application and
frequency sharing document to the Division. These documents may be downloaded from the
Divisions website www.mdfs.dps.mo.gov.
The Division reserves the right to deny any application.
